Questionable Notability

This person's sole claim to fame is that for a brief period he was Nora Barnacle's lover and hence he is an extremely minor character in Ulysses. Why is he more notable than Barnacle's other love interests such as Michael Bodkin and Michael Feeney (schoolteacher) (both of whom are mentioned in The Dead (short story))? The first one does not get an article, while the second one gets a redirect. Is having a brief relationship with someone famous enough to get an article?--Catlemur (talk) 02:05, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bodkin and Feeney aren't mentioned in The Dead - they are both potential models for the Michael Furey character. Arguably Mulvagh is more notable because of the exceptional status of Ulysses. 82.10.93.235 (talk) 08:29, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
