Original goal

"As of 4 May 2014, the charity has raised £3,183,116.50, more than triple the original goal." - the article goes on to state that the initial goal was £10,000, so surely the £3M+ total is more than 300 times the original goal........? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 12:27, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes: £10,000 was the original goal; £1m was the last goal. The donations keep on coming in (thanks people), but last time I checked the amount raised was £3,338,957.64, just over 333 times the original goal. Memassivbeast (talk) 13:58, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I also think "original" implies that it was the first goal, so this might be a problem with clarity. Perhaps it's better to omit the phrase "more than 3 times the original goal" and simply talk about his goals later on in the article, in more detail? Just curious, I wonder why the inverted commas in the quotes should look different. I think you can use the same template.
Place some citations at the end of the first para, it looks unsourced just now.
with his best friends "close friends" would sound more proper
The documentary is currently in development and will be made into a feature-length film. Don't say "currently", say "as of 2016" (if this documentary is still under development).

Burial - questionable statement (section Death and reaction)

The paragraph mentioning his funeral states "He was buried the next day". However the BBC News release used as citation does not explicitly state when his burial took place. I therefore question whether the citation should be regarded as supporting the statement. I would be inclined to rephrase the sentence "He was privately buried later" to fit what the citation says, though "later" is an open-ended term.Cloptonson (talk) 06:47, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
