100th Bomb group inclusion
John Luckadoo is noted as the last survivor of the 100th bomb group. However there are at-least 3 more members alive; Robert ‘Bob’ Wolfe, Henry ‘Hank’ Cervantes and Jim Rasmussen. All of them were at the premiere of Masters of the Air only 2 weeks ago. Eoin DAMM (talk) 14:34, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- Could you give us a citation? Bkatcher (talk) 14:55, 5 February 2024 (UTC)

- Thank you Eoin. We have proof with the CBS site, but and this not a question for you but everyone. Do we want to use social media as a citation? I am leaning towards no. Looking for everyone else's thoughts. Feickus (talk) 13:05, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- Normally no. But it seems the source that stated John Luckadoo as the last veteran of the 100th bomb group was wrong, and CBS shows that. Eoin DAMM (talk) 20:29, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- Social media generally shouldn't be used as a source, but if the account is reliable (e.g. the official account of a news organization) it can be acceptable. pburka (talk) 17:35, 11 February 2024 (UTC)

Women SOE agents to serve in France
Phyllis Latour is widely cited as the last female SOE agent to serve in France and died in October last year. however the BBC posted a article about the death of Nicola Trahan, a female SOE agent who served in France. Id like others to have a look at the article to see if we should change Latour to Trahan https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-68166260.amp Eoin DAMM (talk) 16:06, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
- This does seem well supported by reliable sources. In other similar cases we've added a note to the entry explaining who else had previously been identified as the last survivor. pburka (talk) 17:33, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, pburks, what are your reliable sources? I'm trying to find out if Nicola Trahan was indeed the last female SOE agent. 2A02:C7C:D522:9800:85BA:73D5:700F:FD19 (talk) 15:04, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. The BBC Article is going to be changed. I have it on good authority that there is no direct evidence that she was SOE. 2A02:C7C:D522:9800:CDFB:4ACB:62D1:CE67 (talk) 14:51, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you, but I just had to put the post in when I saw the news. Eoin DAMM (talk) 14:39, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
Bataan Death March Survivors
Jim Bollich is still alive as of Nov 2023. His cousin mentions in the article that there is one other survivor. I cannot not find anything on who that maybe. https://oilmanmagazine.com/article/military-veteran-and-geologist-james-bollich-from-the-service-to-the-subsurface/

List of last surviving World War II veterans
Martin Leo August (Leo), born 31 May 1923 is still alive and just attended the White House Veterans Luncheon on 27 May 2024. He is a survivor of the USS Twiggs, which was sunk by a kamikaze pilot over Okinawa. I believe him to be the last of the Twiggs survivors, but do not know how to find verified proof. I appreciate help on this. Thank you! :) WillowVerba (talk) 20:20, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
