Could I suggest St Anthony's College in 'Death at the President's Lodging' by Michael Innes (JIM Stewart), located in a fictional university in a city half-way between Oxford and Cambridge (around Bletchley, where Innes no doubt recalled changing on train journeys between the two). - Tom Burnham
