Breda?

Editor Drmies also removed a note I had placed at the top that said: "The Syarif Hamid II of Pontianak article says the school is in Breda"

His edit summary said "no it doesn't"

But indeed I doublechecked the Syarif Hamid II of Pontianak article and it says:

"Syarif completed his studies at the Koninklijke Militaire Academie in Breda, Holland; graduating as a lieutenant in the Royal Dutch East Indies Army." FloridaArmy (talk) 21:11, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I came across this subject at Dési Bouterse. Doesn't seem like an especially Dutch name but I'm no expert. We don't use "Academie" in American English and I've worked on many schools, not even foreign ones, where it's known as an academy and or a school. My goal was to get it sorted out. Hence why I left a note at the top of the page signlaing a contradiction.
The names seem very similar to me. And I don't think I found an article on the Belgian school on Wikipedia which also has a similar name. Bottom line, I am not perfect but like to see things sorted out. I'm surprised I didn't notice the existing article on the Academie but was trying to keep a few things straight especially vis a vis the Belgian School and just missed it, and that there are two so similarly named Dutch Schools both with very prominent alums. I wanted to know where the long serving leader of Suriname went to school and couldn't find it on Wikipedia. Is he an alum of this school? I don't think I altered his article in that respect. @FloridaArmy:He is definitely an alumni from this school, because he joined when it was still a colony, and was probably stationed in Steenwijk (Johan van den Kornputkazerne[1]) for awhile, because that's where his son Dino Bouterse was born. There is a references at historiek, but I would use this one, because it's a leading news paper.[2] KittenKlub (talk) 14:13, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Alumni

@FloridaArmy: About van Mulken and the two Schoemakers, they lived before the school was founded, so that can't be correct. I did find two candidates on :nl however neither has a wikipedia page here. Nico Tack who was an instructor and became a general, but he's no longer alive. Frank van der Meijden. He technically qualifies because he is currently the mayor of Laarbeek. Searching the internet only results in false positives, so that's no use. KittenKlub (talk) 19:03, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
