Advice to inexperienced enthusiastic new editors

Register, and get a user name so we can talk to each other and you will get London notifications.
Wikipedia has a manual of style, WP:MOS which we use to maintain a consistent appearance across the entire encyclopedia. One issue is the way we refer to people- we omit honorific like Prof. or Dr., and only use the Christian name the first time the dude is mentioned
We paraphrase newspaper articles- if we use too much of the text- it becomes a copyright issue WP:COPYVIO which is illegal.
