Subject of Antoine Roux painting
I have doubts that the ship portrayed in Roux's painting used in the infobox is actually Trusty. Comparing the image with Trusty's inboard plan, there seem to be little similarities between the two vessels. The profile of the Roux ship is very much that of a single decked ship, in comparison to the clearly bulkier and two-decked outline of Trusty. While I may not be counting correctly, the number of guns on the Roux ship also seems to be far fewer than Trusty would ever have carried. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 09:36, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- I tend to agree; Trusty was a two-decker and the painting appears to be of a frigate.--Ykraps (talk) 10:10, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out. I would upload the inboard plan to Commons, but the museum seems to think they have copyright. 𝕱𝖎𝖈𝖆𝖎𝖆 (talk) 11:04, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Ficaia: You've every right to upload ship plans from the RMG. See File:EURYALUS 1803 RMG J5673.jpg as an example. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 11:40, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
