THE CHIEF GUNNERS MATE
I can't throw much light on HMS Naiad except my father, CGI Bill Quinton, was the Chief Gunners Mate at the time of its sinking in 1942. Him and the survivers where in the water for 3 hours before being picked up. My father never spoke of it except to say he had ruined a perfectly good uniform while sliding down the ships side. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.239.130.240 (talk) 09:46, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
