Notability

The only thing notable about George Osmond? he's the father of the Osmond siblings. This article should be deleted. GoodDay 19:07, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Or turned into a redirect for the Osmond Family. Cheers, CP 21:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Olive Osmond article is being considered for merging into The Osmonds as well. Susan Gleason 23:34, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'll go with turning it into a redirect. GoodDay 23:38, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. George Osmond established the Osmond Foundation - later on, the Children's Miracle Network.

From Wikipedia:

"In addition to their children and many grandchildren, their [George and Olive Osmond's] legacy was the Osmond Foundation, which later became the Children's Miracle Network – the largest charitable organization of its kind serving children's hospitals around the world."[1]

An example:
During a three day radiothon in Dec. 2007, four Houston radio stations raised $2,100,554.00 for the Texas Children's Hospital:

"The Radiothon is organized each year by Katie Kalenda, Development Manager at Texas Children's Hospital and Program Director for Children’s Miracle Network." [2]

Television and radio stations partner with the Children's Miracle Network in fundraising[3].

Why then is the creation of the Children's Miracle Network attributed to both Marie Osmond and actor John Schneider if you claim the parents created it? Which is true? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.67.234.133 (talk) 05:50, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

Perhaps it should be merged with The Osmonds. I'll put a merge suggestion on the page. Leonini (talk) 11:56, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What

"Osmond served two missions" what is this supposed to mean? Non-Mormon Non-U.S. Anglos might not understand this phrase. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.131.70.140 (talk) 20:12, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

When were these missions served? Where they when he was single, or years later with his wife? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.67.234.133 (talk) 05:47, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
