Very odd that the main entry for Fieldia redirects to Vandopsis, an orchid genus. That name is illegitimate (later homonym) with no nomenclatural priority or status except as a synonym and has never had wide usage since its publication. (Reichenbach's usage of the genus in transferring two additional orchid species into Fieldia is rather puzzling--an orchid taxonomist may be able to shed more light on that. Vandopsis is presumably a nom. nov. for Fieldia Gaudichaud but neither Tropicos nor IPNI reflect that.) On the other hand the gesneriad genus Fieldia has nomenclatural priority and is well-established in the literature. BTW Fieldia is not a unispecific genus; B.L. Burtt transferred another species into Fieldia in 1999.
