There he had a plantation and supervised the work through an overseer and slave labor.

What is the notability of this statement? That setup was entirely standard in slave-states. I think the category American slave owners ought to be restricted to people whose slave-owning history was notable in itself. Valetude (talk) 08:01, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
