Why is it necessary to repeat a link that already appears in the "References" section? -- Trowbridge (talk) 02:14, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
- My position is that certain definitive links like an official site or a listing in an authoritative sports reference site (e.g. Baseball-Reference.com) should be included even if they are cited as a reference. When an article become well developed, its list of references can become quite long. It's useful have those definitive links isolated in a short list outside of the references.
