Organization of page
As this order of battle seems to be taken directly from the Official Record, I have revised this page to correct various discrepancies and mistakes. The page now accurately reflects the organization of the Military District between the dates of May 7 and June 30 1864 - I have removed references to reorganizations and transfers that happened after that time. There probably should be another page that reflects the organization during the later stages of the campaign (July to September), as there were various formations disbanded and transferred as the campaign progressed.
Other than the specific order of battle for the Battle of Atlanta, it should be possible to recreate the overall order of battle at any point of time by means of the various notes in the page. This is now possible for the period May 7 to June 30, but as I said, the later part of the campaign really needs a separate page, as it would be too hard to keep track of everything. Perhaps the point to split the pages should be the Battle of Peachtree Creek, when J.B. Hood has taken over the Confederate Army. Ctgnz (talk) 03:06, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
