album listened to along time ago

 The first words were "In 1770 the skys were red and thunder rumbled over head, and old King George couldn't sleep in his bed. and on that morn America was born". I do not know if this is the proper page or format for this type of inquiry.  Does the above stir any ones' memory. Yankee Doodle was written earlier

The Wikipedia page on Yankee Doodle says, ["It was written around 1755 by British Army surgeon Dr. Richard Shuckburgh while campaigning in upper New York."] That suggests Yankee Doodle is the first patriotic song, older than "The Liberty Song." --Sandy Schuman (talk) 20:49, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
