U.S. Anti-slavery policies and authorities
The original article suggests that the U.S. engaged in Naval policies that were anti-slavery. I encourage more contributions to the main article with references justifying the policies and legal justification (authorities) of the time.2600:6C48:7006:200:B056:6066:1296:EF0B (talk) 04:00, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
Created to help protect the domestic slave breeding program
This article doesn't mention the major financial reasons the US had for banning the importation of slaves, which was to protect the domestic slave breeding programs which carried on supplying slaves after the bans. I am not really qualified to write it, but somebody should. There's a good source at https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=17988106 Lawrie (talk) 18:59, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
