Phenyo Butale is a Motswana politician. He served as Member of Parliament of Botswana until 2019 under the Alliance for Progressives - AP. He is also communication specialist, broadcaster, researcher and academic.[1][2]
Career
Butale became an MP in the Parliament of Botswana in 2014. He was before his election involved in Media fraternity. Prior to joining politics, Butale worked in the civil society as Country Director for the Media Institute of Southern Africa - Botswana Chapter and later as executive director of Freedom of Expression Institute in Johannesburg. He holds a PhD from the University of Stellenbosh.[3]
Personal life
Butale is married and lives in South Africa.[citation needed]
