Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education (NAMCE), located in Hojai, Assam, is an esteemed institution dedicated to the field of teacher education. The college is affiliated with Assam University, Silchar, and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

History

Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education (NAMCE ) was established by Ajmal Foundation in the year 2014.[1] It was established in the memory of the beloved Late Nazir Ajmal, the youngest of Ajmal Brothers, who passed away prematurely. The foundation's vision was to create an institution that would contribute significantly to the field of education by training competent and dedicated educators.[citation needed]

Academics

NAMCE offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in education, including the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). The curriculum is designed to equip future educators with the necessary pedagogical skills, knowledge, and values.[citation needed]

Admissions

Admissions to NAMCE are based on academic merit and entrance examinations as per the guidelines of Assam University and NCTE. The admission process is transparent and aims to select candidates who show potential and commitment to the teaching profession.[2]
