Miroslav Stanovský (born 18 October 1970 in Ružomberok, Czechoslovakia)[1] is a retired Slovak slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 1988 to 2013, specializing in the K1 discipline.
He represented Czechoslovakia at the 1988 World Junior Canoe Slalom Championships. At the senior level he represented Slovakia from 1993 to 2000 and then Latvia from 2007 to 2013.[2]
He competed in the K1 event at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where he finished in 10th position. He is the first Slovak paddler to win an individual medal in the men's K1 category with a silver at the inaugural 1996 European Canoe Slalom Championships in Augsburg.
As of 2023 he is coaching his daughter Soňa Stanovská.[3]
