James E. McLean is the previous Dean of the University of Alabama College of Education.[1] Dr. McLean is the current Associate Vice President for Community Affairs at The University of Alabama and holds emeritus status as a University Research Professor.
Prior to his position at University of Alabama he was an endowed professor at East Tennessee State University. He received his bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and Doctorate all from the University of Florida.[1]
