The November Chuvash Rebellion or Rebellion Of The Mobilized Chuvashs was a significant economic and social event in the Russo-Ukranian War. It happened on 1st of November 2022 when more than 100 mobilized Chuvash men refused to go to Ukraine and staged an action of disobedience at the training center.[1]
Rebellion
Russia's Propaganda campaign during the war in Ukraine included the payment of 195.000 Rubles to each mobilized soldier, when a group of 100 Chuvash soldiers approached the question of payment they were ignored which caused an outrage among the soldiers. Yelling "Один за всех и одного" and "Хамǎр Ял"[2] in their native Chuvash language to show their cultural unity. After some time the OMON and ROS Guards were deployed in order to put down the rebellion
Result
After the brief Rebellion Head of The Chuvash Republic, Oleg Nikolayev responded to the Rebellion's demands by publicly announcing that 400 Million Rubles will be given to the Chuvash Soldiers however, The Minister Of Finances Of The Chuvash Republic Announced that out of the 400 Million Rubles only 100 Million were available. On 02.11.2022 Vladimir Putin had to sign a "Decree of the President of the Russian Federation N 787" which was supposed to pay the promised 195.000 Rubles to the Soldiers.[3]
