Challa Sreenivasulu Setty is one of the current managing directors of State Bank of India, looking after International Banking, Global Markets and Technology verticals. He has served close to 36 years at various levels in the State Bank of India.[1]
Early Life
He was born in September 1965 in a Telugu family.[2] He was born in a small village in the Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana state.[3]
Education
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.[4]
Career
He began his career at the State Bank of India in 1988 as a Probationary Officer.[2]
He is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.[2]
Over his more than three-decade-long career, he has gained extensive experience in corporate credit, retail banking, digital banking, and international banking.[2]
Chairmanship
On June 29, 2024, the Financial Services Institutions Bureau selected him as the 27th chairman of the State Bank to succeed Dinesh Kumar Khara in August 2024 [5]
