Split category
This category isn't too clear, as it's currently including both the SR.53 and the B36. One is a rocket interceptor (a distinctive group, with several recognisable examples), the second is true "mixed-power", as both were used during cruise flight. This category ought to be replaced with some sub-cats, but what groups and what to call them? Andy Dingley (talk) 23:45, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
Removing testbed aircraft

Human-powered aircraft
I wonder if the description for this category could be broadened out a bit?
At the low-speed/low-power end of the aviation spectrum, there were at least six human-powered aircraft built which incorporated an auxiliary power source into their drive systems. They were all of them built in the 1980s with regard to the Kremer speed prize which was then on offer. Three HPAs had battery-powered electric assist, while another three had stored-energy rubber-powered assist. I'm in the throes of writing Wikipedia articles about these mixed-powered HPAs.
