Male or men, and why?

Why the name "male", and not Category:American men journalists when there is Category:American women journalists and not Category:American female journalists? Seem inconsistent. Djflem (talk) 07:04, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The real question is why this category at all. It doesn't meet WP:CATGRS (the guideline for categorization by gender, race, ethnicity, etc.). --Lquilter (talk) 12:21, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
