From WikiProjectMed

This is a report of activities of Wiki Project Med Foundation for 2025. It is not a complete list of everything we have done this year but represents a highlight of our work. The compiling of this report — like much that we do — has been a group effort, and we encourage involvement by further individuals within the wider membership.

Translation

VideoWiki

  • In 17 languages as of September 2025. Hundreds of videos built by the tool on Commons.[2]

In 2025 we began collaborating with Mermory to produce short animations for videowiki.[3] We also restarted our auto upload to Youtube.[4]

Project Korikath’s WikiWomen Bangladesh team and the NDEC Wikipedia Editorial and Research Team (NDEC WERT) collaborated with Wiki Project Med Foundation to test a workflow for translation of medical videos. The NDEC WERT part of this team consisted of grade eleven students who were new to Wikimedia. Despite their beginner status, they translated 40+ VideoWiki videos into Bangla.

Project Korikath’s WikiWomen Bangladesh team has long supported the volunteer operations and campaigns of Project Korikath. This was the first instance where they operated as an independent team. Engaging women in Wikimedia activities has often been a challenge. Together, three of the team members translated five videos. This translation effort was an experimental initiative aimed at evaluating how effectively NDEC WERT and the WikiWomen Bangladesh team could contribute to WikiProject Med Foundation's activities. Their success in this endeavor demonstrates their potential to take on more meaningful and impactful projects in the near future.
