Are you talking about File:Harry_Seidler_with_model.jpg and a request for more information? If you are then I don't have any more information to add. I contacted someone at his firm (18 months later I am not sure exactly who this was) letting them know I was from Wikipedia and they gave me permission to use the image they supplied. If I recall correctly there was a short delay while they contacted the photographer for permission. I just noticed that the summary description includes the name Eric Sierins. His attribution might mean its not a generic link to a website as the source. If someone is going to to delete it because they want better source information and don't have it, then it really isn't anything to do with me. You seem significantly concerned about this to take the time to repeat yourself here but not to add a citation to Blackheath, New South Wales. Your attempt to add a citation was undoubtedly inadequate. If you want to make sure Bradman's achievements on the pitch at Blackheath are not removed from the article then you need to provide a citation to a reliable source which supports the claim. That is what every single other editor is required to do. I add citations on an almost daily basis. In fact for every five main space edits of mine I most probably add at least four references. I would never consider adding a bare url for one and never pretend a google search list result is a citation. Nor would I expect another editor to clean up my sloppy contributions. My pleasure - still more for city sites and localities to the north of Toowoomba, to be uploaded and added to the pages asap. The Toowoomba run has been successful but I can do better. The auto-focus on the camera isn't getting the best results or else my hands are too shaky. Also since the city was heritage dense and because I had to devote effort to creating new articles for the places we were passing through on the way home I wasn't able to plan a specific route through the inner city, nor read up about each of these sites. If I was more familiar with the sites I would aim for specific features mentioned in the article as well as a general infobox photo. I think Kerry is moving towards Ipswich in the roll-out. Ipwsich is like Toowoomba, a stack of heritage sites near each other. In that case any drive will be passing through places already created so I will not have to do that work. While I enjoy learning about the history of the Darling Downs, sites a closer to home will be significantly more interesting for me to read about. Hey, can you make sure these articles have at a minimum been checked as to whether they're up to date (and preferably have a bit of a lede) before pulling them out of the review category? The Gabbinbar article, amongst other things, currently says it's unoccupied and run-down when a Google search makes clear that it's now a very well maintained function venue. I think we need to be doing a bit better than this - Kerry is picking up all the basics when she transfers the articles over, and so we can be pretty sure that the basic incorporation of text is going to be fine, but at this point, besides tidying and wikifying the bot text, I see the main point of the review category being to make sure we're not winding up in the long term with a whole bunch of (at times very) outdated articles (which we do have now) - otherwise there's not much point having it. It seems Qld has two Mount Archers (as mountains) and two Mount Archers as suburbs/localities. And at the moment they are all somewhat randomly linked by other articles. Should we go with the name Mount Archer, Queensland (Somerset Region) and Mount Archer, Queensland (Rockhampton Region) to adequately disambiguate each pair of locality and mountain? Shiftchange, you obviously haven't given the "intricate detail" in the history section of the Winton, Queensland article very much thought. All together, it does paint a very clear picture of a place that not many people in the world are highly likely ever to see, and how it came to be the way it is now. By the way, I spent quite a bit of time and effort trying to plough up from old newspapers in the NLA's Trove any scrap of Winton's history. That wasn't easy, but I wanted to make the town's history as complete as it could be. Now, Winton is quite an historic place for a little town in Central West Queensland. In the early days, when Robert Allen, William Henry Corfield, Robert Fitzmaurice and Thomas Lynett showed up to found the place, the new town's (if it could even have been called one back then) direction was changed by almost every newcomer who showed up. Bear in mind, too, that Winton is a little town even now, and so its history is bound to hinge on events that would seem unimportant to somebody living in a big place like Brisbane. Perhaps you've never lived in a small town? Perhaps if you did, you didn't care much about its history? I can understand that some people might not be interested in Australia's pioneering history, and so it matters little to them that the artesian bore was completed in 1896, but of course, that was a huge event in the town itself, even if it was long ago, far away, and of little consequence to a Canadian on the other side of the world who has never even seen the town (I mean me). What is your reason for believing that the history "may only interest a specific audience"? It's a general history of a little town, about the people, economic activity, politics, events, milestones, disasters, and so on and so on and so on. It doesn't dwell on any particular aspect of Winton's history that would only interest certain readers who wanted to know about the town's past, and it is arranged in straightforward chronological order – I was most careful about that – linked where possible to other events in Australia and the world. The "intricate detail" is what a town's history is all about. I would actually like to expand it, not shrink it, if only I could find out more about Winton's history.

What's the meaning of {{WikiProject United States|class=Start|importance=low|USGov=yes|USGov-importance=}}, and how does that change when "Start" is replaced by "C", as you just did on Talk:Voter suppression in the United States?
Also, how can I find information on what this means?
Thirdly, what can be done to make it easier to find such information?
I've averaged close to one edit per day since 2010, and I still don't know how to find things like this.

it might not seem clear

but get held up by dicky computer and a few other things
the reasoning (in case it doesnt show) with text in the main space explaining
is x mines in y state - mines; all other things to do with x mining - mining.
It probably isnt so clear at the moment as i am not even half way through the first few of qld coal mines...

Because of global heating all these thermal coal mines are going to have to close much quicker than their mining lifecycle forecast. These stranded assets will create some controversy over the next decade so the importance of these articles will increase. I suspect the coal mine shutdown will occur around 2030. It just disgusts me that the state with the most national parks has the most mines and so much electricity generated by coal and then abominations like the Carmichael coal mine. - Shiftchange (talk) 06:02, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I see it in the lack of regulars in my watchlist. WikiProject Queensland's cleanup template rate has declined from a rate of 30% to 20%, however that is probably mostly attributed to the WikiProject Queensland's expansion by Kerry's 1,000+ QHR articles. You do know the masses are never coming to help? I think its just a continuation of the decline in WikiProject Australia from its 2007 peak. Its just such a large country with so few editors. Poor governance from Wikimedia Australia doesn't help. Kerry's failed conference may fostered some cohesion but it was rejected. Also the WikiProject activity hasn't distributed to state or city projects as far as I can tell. My watchlist has blown out so I can't keep as good as eye on articles as I used to either. Some tasks can so be time-consuming now so much of the long hanging fruit work is gone. My edit rate is declining on a yearly basis but I ain't going anywhere. How about yourself? I think you went a bit too far with your cleanup of Bob Katter. I agree the quote about indigenous housing was over-long and the one about the croco-roaches was just plain confusing. But you removed a number of citations as part of the process for what appears to be no reason, leaving some content uncited. And I can't see the reason to remove a number of the smaller quotes which provide more insight into his point of view on a range of topics, egg throwing, family maintenance payments, same sex marriage etc. While I don't personally agree with the language he uses to express this views, I think the reader is entitled to know how he speaks on issues. I think it gives the reader a good insight into Katter when they read quotes about "little slanty-eyed ideologues". Whether the reader will love him or loathe him after reading them is a matter for the reader decide, but let's put the information on the table for the reader, not sanitise it. By all means resume editing political articles when you return, but try to tone down both the inflammatory rhetoric (eg. "propaganda") and the unsupported claims (eg. undisclosed paid editing, sockpuppetry). I am interested in the technology. I am not developing anything except Wikipedia and I don't believe in the concept of a cryptocurrency community. I have mostly left WikiProject Australia because it is overrun by a small cabal of paid editors. If you check my contributions over the last six months you would see I am staunchly against paid agenda-based editing. At the same time I do not want my Wikipedia editing skills to deteriorate so I turn to a very interesting technology. This process began about 18 months ago, well before BCH even existed. I fleshed out Bitcoin Core and worked on blockchain. I build, not promote. How ironic is it that I get accused of promotional edits after discovering a major Australian editor is paid. I wouldn't know how to promote anything because I hate that shit. There are no reasons to remove the content I add. Why can't the quote stay? Ver is one of the first investors in Bitcoin. He has one of the highest profiles in the field. It is therefore appropriate for our readers to understand his view. Comparisons between like things on Wikipedia are very good. We have tables on list pages that do exactly that. There is no rule against including videos on our pages. I am not advocating for any position other than including knowledge about Bitcoin Cash on this page. None of it is beyond the scope of editing Wikipedia. I have no idea what makes you say "beyond the scope of Wikipedia".
