I left school at 16 to study accountancy, but then travelled the world. I lived and worked for 12+ years in the Himalayan region, travelled across China and Tibet (from Dartsedo to Tsaparang and from Dun Huang to the Tsangpo) at some length 5 times between 1985 and 1995 and have visited the Indian subcontinent annually for over 30 years.

I now like to write stuff and have collected a reasonable library of books about Tibet. I will try to improve some relevant articles. There is room for improvement in certain articles covering some of the subjects I have learned a little about, with the help of my reference books. So I edit stuff I'm interested in; it seems like a useful hobby, putting the record straight here.
