Breaking down the components of a price

1) You have the duration that the medication is take. For most this is "per month", "per course", or "per other time period".

2) You have the dose which is taken. This is generally "typical adult dose" or "daily defined dose".

3) You have the type of price. This could be retail (drugs.com or goodrx.com) being common sources. Or US wholesale such as NADAC or average whole price. You also have international reference price which the MSH is accepted to be.

4) You have the area of the world were these prices are applicable. Globally there are generally three price groupings. LMIC (with data from WHO), the US (with data from the US gov and a number of books and websites), with much of the rest of the developing world being fairly similar as they base prices off each other.
