I am a biologist, specialized in the species homo sapiens, the last surviving species of the genus homo. Homo sapiens is not a good labeling, because sapiens means wisdom, which is very seldom. A better characterization would be homo loquax (the speaking ape) or homo crassus (the fat ape, unable to climb trees and jump from one tree to another).
My profession is fighting against cancer by radiation therapy.
For two decades I am a Lion. A German Lions Convention some years ago had the motto "accessible, reliable knowledge helps against poverty". Knowledge of Wikipedia is usefull for everybody, who has an internet access, thus helping poor people to understand the world and solve their problems. Wikipedia is a powerfull tool to fight against "alternative facts" by presenting true fact, which were checked again and again. Wikipedia is a tool to attack prejudices by delivery of true evaluations. I am happy to be a small part of this great mission.Bahnsen (talk) 08:55, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
