Edit summary

My recent edit summary was too long for the edit summary box, and I couldn't find any way to shorten it, so here it is: "Added all remaining political parties in Parliament; alphabetised "Related", "Law", and "Social movements"; added SASCO (a student structure in the Tripartite Alliance); added Trotskyism and also some right-wing topics; as well as a lot of other relevant South African political topics" — Life in General Talk/Stalk 09:31, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Miner strike?

It seems to me premature to add the Marikana miner strike to a template that seems to deal more with concepts and groups. Obviously it's a major incident, but doesn't seem to fit here. I suggest removing it. Khazar2 (talk) 03:34, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Trade unions

I tried to (1) add in individual trade unions rather than just federations and (2) note which trade unions are affiliated to the ruling party and which are independent but my technical skills were inadequate to the task. Given that the Lonmin massacre is routinely been described as the most significant political event in post-apartheid South Africa it seems clear that it should go here.

Are any other individual events on the list? I'm not sure I see a reason to include only this--seems like a better template could be found. Khazar2 (talk) 10:54, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Terrorism section

I'm not at all sure that the all entries under this heading are really properly justified. "Terrorism" is a highly loaded emotive word and classifying organisations under that label is fraught with legal and other difficulties. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 13:26, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
