Purpose of template

I intended this template to allow a user to navigate through the articles which outline the field of personal genomics. Please give comments about what ought to be included in this navbox. Blue Rasberry (talk) 18:38, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Genetic epidemiology in general, and genome-wide association studies in particular, require large samples of hundreds or thousands of participants, so I wouldn't call either of them personal genomics. Qwfp (talk) 19:45, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You are totally correct - I would say that personal genomics is a facet of those things and not vice versa. My thought was that all of the advancement in interpreting data from personal genomics comes from research in genetic epidemiology and GWASs, so personal genomics is a side effect of advancement in those fields. If you have any suggestions about how to better list the topics which one ought to understand to understand personal genomics, I would appreciate your feedback. How do you feel about my putting this template on those articles? Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:50, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
