They are doing a study on this at the VA hospitals about how it can treat PTSD nightmare symptoms in combat stress symptoms. I am just now starting to take it in 1mg capsule form.

Parts of this article read like an advertisement; it needs cleanup. I'm too n00b to know how to mark it as needing cleanup, so I'm kvetching about it here. GngstrMNKY (talk) 22:28, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How about effect of inhibition of ejaculation? 24.99.86.24 (talk) 16:20, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It should perhaps be noted that prazosin stops nicotine self-administration in rats that have been pretreated with tranylcypromine. When not pretreated, the rats do not seek nicotine in the first place; the tranylcypromine, however, causes them to start doing so. Prazosin reverses this action. If there is research to substantiate that this effect is applicable to non-pretreated animals that do seek nicotine at baseline, then that should perhaps also be noted. 88.90.141.15 (talk) 13:17, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

needs editing

"as all the blood rushes to their feet" that is a terrible statement that is not true - laymans way of viewing the problem. 208.54.32.136 (talk) 03:20, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it is poorly-worded but this is a layman's encyclopedia -- it's not supposed to be written in doctor speech. Rissa, copy editor (talk) 00:22, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orally Active

What does this mean -- "Prazosin is orally active..."? Does this mean "when taken by mouth"? Much of this entry needs to be translated into regular English. It's not supposed to be a medical journal article, it's supposed to be an entry in a general encyclopedia. Rissa, copy editor (talk) 00:20, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Off market

Prazosin is now off market. Does anyone know why? Are there reports of problems? I heard that Pfizer prepares the launch of a Prazosin-pill for the treatment of glioblastomas and clears the market for selling it again to very very higher prizes. Has anyone infos on that?Slashatdot (talk) 12:58, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
