Relation to splenunculus/splenosis malformations?

Worth discussing the link and differences between splenunculus (the creation of accessory spleen buds created during early development of an otherwise normal spleen), splenosis (transition and growth of spleen tissue following trauma) and polysplenia, though the article [below] on accessory spleens mentions the link, neither that nor this one discusses what makes them substantially different.

Edit: it appears the substantial difference is that in polysplenia, there is no “parent spleen”, and is closely related to heterotaxy
