I cleaned up this page as best I could. Someone may want to check it. Joeylawn 03:23, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

According to Sigma-Aldrich (Product No. 131377) this molecule should be symmetrical. The left side should be mirrored, so that at the right side of the right nitrogen atom there is also a double bond. (And other double bonds on the right side should be changed accordingly).

The positions of the double bonds make no difference. They are aromatic rings, and the electrons are distributed throughout. 170.140.94.230 (talk) 02:33, 25 July 2008 (UTC)John[reply]

It seems that in some places, this is referred to as "Phenanthrone". I've seen it in a few patents, http://www.freepatentsonline.com/EP1391495.html, and http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2006/0263630.html. Though it may just be a mistake on the part of the writers of the patent, seeing them was a bit confusing for me at first. - Kkchong (talk) 05:00, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
