List of abbreviations

Not sure what Wiki's policy is on this but this article contains a ton of abbreviations, BBB, NAWM, CNS, etc. While many are defined in the text, I was wondering if a "list of abbreviations" is ever a thing. If so, this article could use one to make referencing easier. --167.88.240.10 (talk) 23:43, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

So much overlap with Pathology of multiple sclerosis Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 06:00, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, should be merged. --167.88.240.10 (talk) 23:41, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is some overlap in the section Pathology of multiple sclerosis#Demyelination process and Pathophysiology of multiple sclerosis#MS lesion development, but otherwise the content has a distinctive approach which is reflected in the article titles. The pathology article focusses on classical macroscopic pathology and modern imaging; the pathophysiology article does as the title suggests. The key issue is one of size; both articles are already over 100k each, and even removing duplication won't get the combined article under this size. Therefore, oppose merge on the grounds of WP:TOOBIG and that the current split has some logic to it (although there undoubtably other ways of splitting the content over more than one page). Introduction image

Hello, the introduction image is not appropriate as it shows a peripheral neuron with schwann cells, which are not affected in MS. Here it should show a neuron with CNS type myelination by oligodendrocytes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SKPapillon (talkcontribs) 19:03, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
