I was the person who solved the issue of doing reductive aminations on tets and I was attacked out on the street by the chemist who tried it and failed, other people threatened me as well over it.
Paratek, like most of these startups, spent money on exec salaries and expensive facilities rather than hiring competent people. I also implemented modern analytical and purification systems for them.
Paratek was being run into the ground and would never have survived without my intervention, they didn't even put my name on the patent or publications. They refused to give equity participation so I quit in disgust.
