I feel a discussion on cord clamping should be discussed. Many parents and doctors freak out when they see the umbilical cord wrapped around the child's neck. What they don't realize is that the child is okay and still receiving blood and oxygen through the cord! Yet their first instinct is to cut the cord and resucitate the child in another room.

Studies show that the cord can pulsate and send blood and oxygen to the child for up to 20 minutes after birth. Cutting the cord before it has stopped pulsating will harm the child. This harm may not be seen until later in life (see the recent explosion in ADHD, Autism, and Cerebral Palsy, all of which are linked to immediate cord clamping). www.noclamp.com

Sentence not clear

There are two types of Nuchal Cord; Type A and Type B . Type A is wrapped around the neck 380 degrees and Type B is a hitch not a wrap and cannot be undone. J H Collins MD (www.preginst.com) It is not clear what this sentence means: A "Type B" nuchal cord is a hitch and is not wrapped.
