Incorrect interpretation of referenced study

In the article, reference [5] is claimed to show that

"Compared to other opioid analgesics, naloxegol causes less constipation-related side effects, while maintaining comparable levels of analgesia."

This is an incorrect conclusion. Naloxegol is not an analgesic. It relieves constipation by blocking opioid binding in the gut without affecting opioid binding in the central nervous system (where opioids produce their analgesic effect). The referenced study did not compare Naloxegol to analgesics, but rather showed that the drug reduced constipation without reducing the 2602:306:3B5A:4AD0:6D1F:CA42:FBF:799 (talk) 02:58, 24 October 2015 (UTC)effectiveness of opioid analgesics used by patients in the study.[reply]
