The person who wrote this article is obviously not familiar with modern medicinal chemistry. The contention that medicinal chemists are nothing more than organic chemists who work on drug molecules is ludicrous and outdated. The reference to the web page leads the reader to the American Chemical Society Division of Medicinal Chemistry, the recognized world authority in medicinal chemistry with more than 10,000 members.
