This definitely needs its own page! JFW | T@lk 22:20, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here's one I made earlier

Stuff I found a little while ago:

  • PMID 10485854 (BSG guideline)
  • PMID 16636018 (transjugular versus percutaneous, but Dotter was the first)
  • PMID 17498250
  • PMID 16707372 (review on quality)

Expanding... JFW | T@lk 15:28, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there

A friendly question

Liver biopsy is the removal of a small sample of tissue from the liver.

According to the dictionary.com
re·mov·al /rɪˈmuvəl/ Pronunciation[ri-moo-vuhl]
–noun

  1. the act of removing.
  2. change of residence, position, etc.
  3. dismissal, as from an office.

Here removal is used as a synonym for the invasive liver tissue specimen obtaining procedure?

Just curious... I checked few med. dictionaries but they too use word removal. Aren't there other more appropriate words to replace that cutting/pulling/taking etc procedure?

Thank you.

Fibroscan

I wonder if it's worth creating a separate article for Fibroscan with some information on the procedure. This is becoming a standard test for liver damage and it's probably going to become more prominent in future. Any thoughts? Bandanamerchant (talk) 21:04, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Should also be mentioned that Fibroscan is not a type of liver biopsy, it's an alternative to it (which would suggest having a different page might be a good idea). Bandanamerchant (talk) 00:35, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
