Technically this is incorrect. The suffix -iasis means that something is present with or without a disease state. The correct name for a disease caused by species of Isospora is Isosporosis. The suffix -osis indicates something is present and there is a disease state. This is much like the use of the term lymphoma for tumors of lymphocytic origin. There are no lymphomas. Strictly speaking a lymphoma is benign. The word means benign lymphocytic tumor. The correct term is lymphosarcoma, but through laziness, tradition, or ignorance of medical terminology, the term has stuck in the medical literature. The same is true of many -iasis conditions. I would expect something that claims to be an encyclopedia to have a little more oversight and shy away from sloppy terminology.

It is stated I. belli is found in humans and animals here (no reference given), but other sources say only humans. Clarification and references would be helpful.
