Side effects

Who says the injection is painful and you cant use your leg for 3 hours? That is a strong statement not to be sourced. I never heard that anywhere. --- ok (update) I went and had the injection and it was quite painful (was on here the day before researching it)...I made the details a little more clear about this since it is literally nowhere on the internet. People should be prepared!!

Ceftriaxon

I'm currently receiving this in a German Hospital via IV. It's spelled without a terminal e here. Might be worthwhile noting that, for people doing searches.

Regarding the "painful" comment - that's probably to be expected, isn't it, if the pH is 6.7. I did notice that when the drip started I could feel a very slight burning sensation (though nothing I could really call painful). Andrew (talk) 05:15, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

-The mechanism of action might be better placed closer to the top of the page, before the adverse effects -Could potentially list your PK information instead of having it in sentences, because the sentences are not in any particular order -In C/I you can expand a little on the penicillin allergies and could include the cross reactivity if you know the number -You describe how ceftriaxone looks, but is it the same all over the world? -Is the spectrum of activity for ceftriaxone the same world wide, even though it's listed like that on the package insert? -overall very well written and put together

-PK info has been formatted.

-C/I info has been added with source.

-We think that the chemical should look similar unless excipients change its appearance; most sources we found list no excipients added (https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/26466; http://www.mhra.gov.uk/home/groups/par/documents/websiteresources/con046628.pdf)

-Although spectrum of activity probably does differ from region to region, these kinds of vague statements were advised against.
