Summary

Description The young Dr George Miller Sternberg (1838-1915), a U.S. Army physician who is considered the first bacteriologist in the United States. He was the 18th U.S. Army Surgeon General, 1893-1902. He was a member of the Havana Yellow Fever Commission in 1879.
