Description
English: The nose of a patient diagnosed with trichodysplasia spinulosa, a skin condition caused by trichodysplasia spinulosa polyomavirus (TSPyV) found in immunocompromised individuals. Left panel shows characteristic findings of facial papules, protrusive keratotic spicules, and thickened skin; right panel shows appearance following 3 months of treatment with topical cidofovir. Panels B and D of Figure 1 from the following paper: van der Meijden E, Janssens RWA, Lauber C, Bouwes Bavinck JN, Gorbalenya AE, et al.
