Deutsch: Das überwiegend in Nordamerika verbreitete fünfphasige oder fünfschrittige Modell enthält als zusätzlichen Schritt nach dem Assessment die Phase der Diagnose. Das Modell stellt eine von der NANDA International erweiterte Variante des WHO-Modells dar. Die neugeschaffene Stufe dient dazu, aus den in der ersten Phase gewonnen Informationen eine Pflegediagnose aufzustellen.
English: The nursing process is the work method nursing uses in care delivery. It consists of five phases: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and finally evaluation.
