Description
English: This figure shows a vesicle full of the neurotransmitter Glycine at the postsynaptic membrane. Tetanus toxin cleaves the VAMP protein, which is essential for vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release. With the VAMP protein cleaved, the neurotransmitter cannot be released into the synapse.
