Chlamydomanas reinhardtii is a unicellular flagellate used as a model system in molecular genetics work and flagellar motility studies. This image of a thin section through a whole Chlamydomonas, shows the nucleus, chloroplast, starch grains, vacuoles, mitochondria, eye spot, and the cell wall. |
