Breast eczema is a type of regional inflammation of the skin that may affect the nipples, areolae, or surrounding skin of the breast.[1] Eczema of the nipples is typically of the moist type with oozing and crusting, in which painful fissuring is frequently seen, especially in pregnant and in nursing mothers.[1]

Eczema of the breast may appear similar to Paget's disease, and nevoid hyperkeratosis.[1]
