Usage
When you create or find a new page within the scope of WikiProject London please add any of the following to the top of its talk page:{{WikiProject London |class= |importance= }}

Optional parameters
- class – valid values are listed in the custom class mask. See the project's quality scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave
|class=blank or omit the parameter. - clean-up – set
|clean-up=yesif the article requires clean-up to conform to the Manual of Style and other guidelines- This parameter populates Category:London-related articles requiring clean-up.
- importance – valid values are: top, high, mid, low, na (case-insensitive). See the project's importance scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave
|importance=blank or omit the parameter. - listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Richard Whittington, use
|listas=Whittington, Richardso that the talk page will show up in the W's and not the R's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. If the article is using {{WikiProject banner shell}} then it is preferable to add|listas=to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required. - london-districts-task-force – set
|london-districts-task-force=yesif the article is supported by the London districts task force.- This parameter populates Category:London districts task force articles.
- public_art – set
|public_art=yesif the article is supported by the public art task force.- This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:London public art articles by quality based upon the
|class=parameter. - public_art-importance (only used if
|public_art=yesis set; valid values are: top, high, mid, low, na) – Importance rating within the public art task force- This importance rating populates the relevant subcategory of Category:London public art articles by importance.

- needs-photo – set
|needs-photo=yesto mark the page as needing a photograph- This parameter populates Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in London.
- category – set
|category=noif, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

An article's importance assessment is generated from the importance parameter in the {{WikiProject London}} project banner on its talk page:
