Diagonal orientation

Technical point: The diagonal mirror is flipped – as shown, it is rotated 180° around its own axis from the orientation it ought to be in, based on the misalignment of its slanted edges.

The angled edges of the flat diagonal mirror are aligned in the wrong direction: Instead of slanting approximately parallel to the surface of the main mirror, the slanted edges should be aligned perpendicular to the surface of the main mirror, parallel to the surface of the enclosing tube wall, in order to minimize the diagonal mirror's shadow on the main mirror.
