Summary

Description
English: Bust of Alexander Monro Primus, who became Professor of Anatomy at Edinburgh University at the age of 21. He is credited with establishing the international reputation of the Edinburgh Medical School. His son and grandson, Monro Secundus and Monro Tertius, occupied the same Chair. The bust stands in a corridor outside the University Senate Rooms. Unknown sculptor, dated 1812
